Meet Shannon, Founder

Shannon Hoofnagle is an independent communications consultant with 15 years of healthcare communications experience. With a background in global biopharmaceutical companies, Shannon specializes in brand and scientific communications, corporate reputation management, and community engagement. In her consultancy role, Shannon provides strategic counsel to clients to enhance credibility, elevate corporate reputation, and raise awareness of critical healthcare issues.

Prior to consulting, Shannon played pivotal roles in some of the industry's leading organizations. Most recently, she spearheaded the development and implementation of Novavax's Global Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, shaping narratives aligned with evolving global standards and amplifying the company's commitment to sustainability. Additionally, Shannon led initiatives focused on corporate reputation and executive visibility, further solidifying Novavax's standing within the industry.

Before her tenure at Novavax, Shannon led AstraZeneca’s US Oncology signature program portfolio and brand communications across four therapeutic areas. She fostered strategic partnerships aimed at advancing health equity, improving access to care, and championing precision medicine and innovative treatment options. Furthermore, Shannon drove corporate affairs strategy surrounding regulatory and data milestone communications in breast, gastric, lung and blood cancers and pioneered patient and caregiver campaigns in collaboration with leading patient advocacy organizations. Her commitment to amplifying the patient voice and driving meaningful change underscores her unwavering dedication to improving healthcare outcomes for individuals and communities worldwide.

Shannon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from James Madison University and a Master of Arts in Corporate Communications from Georgetown University.
